Bird in Hand
Pinot NoirRose 2005
ADELAIDE HILLS
The Adelaide Hills is perfectly suited to the production of premium quality Pinot Rose.
2005 was an outstanding vintage with early thunderstorms maintaining good soil moisture reserves. Rains in January preceded dry warm conditions continuing through autumn unitl harvest, allowing fruit to be harvested at full maturity with bright, fresh colour and flavour.
Made in a classic style, the Bird in Hand Rose, is a delicate translucent berry coloured wine with floral aromas and flavours of cherry and strwberry, underlining a long finish.
Delicate but clear-cut spicy/strawberry aromas and flavours, followed by a near-dry finish. Classy rose.” James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion, p 111, 2007 Edition.
